Sodding

MVR Landscaping specializes in sodding, typically performed after lot grading.

If you are experiencing persistent issues with your lawn, such as extensive weeds or bare patches that do not respond to grass nutrients and regular maintenance, the underlying soil may be faulty. Often, this is due to old builder debris used as backfill instead of proper soil.

Our standard approach to ensure success is to replace the top six inches of existing material with fresh, nourished topsoil before installing the new sod. This method allows the new sod to grow exceptionally well, and we have had great success with it.

Please note that in certain environments, such as areas under trees (grass will not grow as the tree draws out all the water) or properties adjacent to unmaintained lawns, it can be difficult to completely prevent weeds, and an appropriate herbicide may be necessary for long-term maintenance.
