City regulations, particularly in Toronto properties and certain condominiums, often require permeable landscape designs, such as self-draining driveways and patios.

 

MVR Landscaping specializes in the installation of permeable pavers. Our process involves creating a gravel sub-base (clean, non-granular aggregate) a heavy duty landscape fabric above the clean gravel and a High Performance Bedding (HPB) top base to ensure water drains freely without getting trapped.

We follow a strict excavation protocol:

 

- Patios and Walkways: A minimum of 1 foot (12 inches) deep

- Driveways: A minimum of 1.5 feet (18 inches) deep

 

For sealing the joints, we use various permeable methods. Our cost-effective option is Alliance's Aqua Rock. For a stronger, rock-hard joint, we use Romex and Ez Joint, both of which maintain permeability for self-drainage.
